Our Curriculum & Vision

After 15+ years of community engagement in the arts in St. Louis, Malena Amusa, MA, and her family created this camp to provide children a joyful space to explore, grow, and thrive. The curriculum is rooted in project-based learning, Socratic inquiry, and interactive, hands-on experiences — full of action, healthy socializing, and discovery.

At the heart of the camp:

  • Performing Arts – West African dance, music, and drama serve as a cornerstone of confidence building and cultural learning.

  • Science & STEAM – Kitchen chemistry, experiments, and creative projects encourage kids to collaborate, problem-solve, and think like innovators.

  • Writing & Literacy – Inspired by a Montessori-style approach to reading through writing, helping kids strengthen language skills in a natural, engaging way.

🌟 Young Stars SATURDAY S.T.E.A.M Camp 🌟 is where kids ages 4–12 come to learn, laugh, and love every Saturday starting Oct. 4, 2025! Led by Malena Amusa, MA, and a team of talented teachers, every session is designed to nourish creativity, big dreams, and confident action and collaboration.
